Let’s be honest, COVID19 has given us a ton of anxiety in the past few weeks. Ive always been very vocal about my issues with anxiety in the past – but in recent years Ive mastered it and it no longer has a place in my life – In fact, some of the tools I found have literally CHANGED my life. I am so calm, collected and at ease with myself. Anyone can do this – just stay consistent and just do your best!

MOVE IT!

This one is pretty obvious but it works the best. Did you know even a brief walk can raise your happy hormones by almost 30% within 5 minutes? A recent study by Harvard University advises at least 15 mins of high intensity (running for example) OR an hour of lower-intensity such as walking or even housework daily to see the effects.

Movement is clinically proven to reduce both anxiety AND depression. A walk in nature is also very soothing and exposes you to the electromagnetic energy of the plants and wildlife – thus raising your vibration and mood. As we are currently on lockdown, try some yoga at home or a socially distanced walk around your neighborhood (where permitted)

BRAIN TRAIN

Positive affirmations are a game changer. I started doing this about 6 months ago during the most difficult time of my life. And all I can say is WOW. We live in a world that’s highly competitive, we get blasted by negative media all day on the news & we live stressful lives in general. It is so important to counteract all of this. Every morning I set my day by doing a series of Positive Affirmations.

As I make my tea, I play Audio in the background to help it register in my subconscious. There are so many great FREE resources on Youtube, But you can also write your own. I AM SAFE. I AM HAPPY. I AM ABUNDANT. I AM HEALTHY. I AM KIND. I AM AT PEACE. I AM THANKFUL. I AM ENERGETIC. and so on! Listen to these and also repeat them to yourself out loud. This helps it stick in your mind and start working on self esteem and positive thinking in the subconscious mind for long term benefits

Do this every morning for 5-10 minutes for 21 days… I promise you will see a major diffrence. Everyone else is trying to brainwash us…we might aswel brainwash ourselves! Insert giggle. Check out YouAreCreators on Youtube – They have some really great material to get you started.

MEDITATE

This one is huge for a plethora of reasons. Over time, many of us have lost the sense of higher self and connection to the universe in general. Meditation is clinically proven to reduce anxiety, tension, depression and stress. I meditate 1-2 a day for 15 minutes or so. Find a comfortable spot to sit or lay down, avoid noise. Breathe deeply. Listen to your heart beat, breathing, all of the beautiful inner systems that work so hard to keep us alive all day, every day.

The human body is a stunning machine, take time to understand your vessel and connect. If you are spiritually minded, you may also notice angelic downloads of messages from your guides while in this state. A brilliant business idea might pop up, or an answer you were looking for recently. Meditation is an outlet for both healing and connection of body & soul. All of us can receive these downloads, just stay open to idea and go with the flow.

WRITE IT

Sometimes we get in our heads and it’s easy to get frazzled when a problem presents itself. It can send our brain into overdrive and create a real spinner. The constant stream of thoughts can be distressing for us. A great tip is to sit down, breathe and get out a pen and paper. Write down the issue and write down some solutions. Taking action will help you feel more in control and ontop of the situation. It will also help your brain from going into total overdrive.

TALK IT OUT

We all have people in our lives who we know are optimistic and positive. They help us put things in perspective and make us feel better. I always try to be this person for others, but when I have my stress moments I know who to call! A quick call or texts to your BFF/MOM/DAD/ or whoever that possy person is…should help ease your anxiety fast and have you felling better in no time. Connection is key and you are never alone in any problem.

CONNECT

I am a huge fan of Abraham Hicks, Jeffry Allen and Dolores Cannon. I think its a great idea to find some you connect with who you can watch online to get a positive perspective. Abraham Hicks got me through the triple deaths of mom, nanny and grandad in 2019 – the 3 people who raised me. My world was crushed and I would wake up feeling like there was a hole in my heart, I also felt physically sick and constantly anxious. Every day I listened to Abraham and it helped me change my perspective on death, life and my interpretation of loss. The material is very empowering, boosts confidence and awareness of self. The material is free and I cannot recommend it enough.
